Classroom Facilities

Carmen's Pride and Joy strongly believes children should be provided with a  safe"home away from home" setting conducive for learning, in a warm and nurturing environment. We encourage children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic wellbeing.

We understand how difficult it is to find infant child care in DC, but rest assure you will love the care our teachers and staff provide.

Parents are encouraged to visit.  Let's get started by setting up an appointment!

Butterflies

During the first three years of life, children are discovering many important things about themselves and the world around them. They are learning who they are, how they relate to the people in their lives and how people respond to them. We provide a wide range of developmentally age appropriate activities for them to develop a sense of trust and belonging. Besides routine physical care we provide toys for free exploration and active play to develop their fine and gross motor skills.

Daisies

As children reach the age of two years old, their imagination and curiosity gives them lots of energy and creative potential. We provide opportunities to develop and express these skills with lots of hands on learning experiences using art, music, dance, science and dramatic play to enable them ways to create their own ideas and solving problems.

As children reach the age of three, we encourage them to actively explore and interact with other children and adults. We provide opportunities to practice self-help skills with indoor and outdoor play to exercise their large muscles. They use puzzles, bead strings and art material to develop their fine motor skills. In addition, they use blocks, science, math and dramatic play material to allow them to exercise their natural curiosity and creativity.
